Most Popular Place of Chittagong

Area                      : 34 hectares (84 acres) 

Concrete is used for the monument tower while red bricks is used for other structures and pavements. Water pool and the platform for laying wreath are placed in front of the monument while mass-graves are on both sides. From the main gate one can see the monument axially  but to reach there one has to walk through different levels of red pavements and cross a lake- all these representing the struggle for independence.

World Heritage site in Bangladesh

A world heritage site is an extra ordinary natural or cultural place. It is recognized by the international community in the shape of the World Heritage Convention declared by UNESCO 1972. It is historically and geographically important. It Possesses Universal value and it is a collective  responsibility of the world's people  to preserve it. Bangladesh is a small country. yet, it has there World Heritage sites. These are the historic Shat Gombuj Mosque of Bagerhat, the ruins of the Buddhist Vihara at Paharpur and the Sundarbans. Sundarbans is the most beautiful World Heritage site of 7 natural wonder. It's abundant wildlife and it's reputation as a mangrove forest attract all much.

History of Bangladesh

Bangladesh is our beloved motherland. She is a small country situated in the south-asia on the Bay of Bangal. Her total land area is about 1,44,570 square kilometer. She was under the British rule for about 200 years. Then in 1947 the Indian Sub-continent was divided into too states - one India/Hindustan and other Pakistan. For the second time she achieved her independence in 1971. In our country there are different communities of people and different religions. The religions of the people are Islam, the Hinduism, the Christianity and the Buddhism.

St. Martin

Coral Island of Bangladesh

St. Martin Island is the only coral island in Bangladesh. It is an attractivetourist spot which is situated on the Bay of Bengaland about 48 km from Teknaf. The island is surrounded by Coconut trees.
