Coral Island of Bangladesh

St. Martin Island is the only coral island in Bangladesh. It is an attractive tourist spot which is situated on the Bay of Bengaland about 48 km from Teknaf. The island is surrounded by Coconut trees. It's popular name is Naricle Zinzira ( Coconut Zinzira ). It is also surrounded by beautyful corals of verious size. It has sandy beach to enjoy the murmuring sound and rippling wave of the Bay of Bengal. The green water of the Bay can be seen here. It is an Island Full of Natural beauty, free from the din and bustle of the city. It seems to be floating flower in the midst of the Bay of Bengal. It is a famous dry fish processing area of the country. Most of the dwellers are fishermen who catch fish from the Bay of Bengal. The common sight of this area is to see different types of fish drying in the sun on the bamboo racks. It is an island to enjoy the nature especially the sea along with coral very closely.
