Bangladesh is our beloved motherland. She is a small country situated in the south-asia on the Bay of Bangal. Her total land area is about 1,44,570 square kilometer. She was under the British rule for about 200 years. Then in 1947 the Indian Sub-continent was divided into too states - one India/Hindustan and other Pakistan. For the second time she achieved her independence in 1971. In our country there are different communities of people and different religions. The religions of the people are Islam, the Hinduism, the Christianity and the Buddhism.
Bangladesh is a land of natural beauty. Serpentine rivers, crystal clear water lakes around by ever green hills, beautiful cascades of green tea gardens, luxuriant tropical rain forests, world's largest mangrove forest preserved as World Heritage, home of the Royal Bengal Tiger, warbling of birds in green trees, wind in the paddy fields, abundance of sunshine, world's longest natural beach Cox's Bazar, rich cultural heritage, relics of ancient Hindu, Buddhist and Christian civilizations and colorful tribal lives. Bangladesh creates an unforgettable impression of a land of peace.
